JOB TITLE: Multimedia Designer
LOCATION: San Jose, CA or Remote
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Customer Enablement and Insights team within the Cisco Security Business Group (SBG) is focused on accelerating our customers’ time to value by defining and enabling the optimal customer journey through understanding our customers’ needs. We partner with our product teams to align customer needs to outcomes and deliver the most effective learning content to enable those outcomes.
We are looking to hire a Multimedia Designer to help us reach our customer enablement goals through engaging, innovative, educational content.
In this role, you will partner within and across multiple teams to craft and develop consumer-grade visual experiences that span a variety of mediums with the goal of increasing customer knowledge of our security product portfolio.
You are an expert in motion graphics and thrive in an environment of collaboration and co-creation to deliver inspiring products.
As a Multimedia designer, you’re responsible for designing and developing the instructional videos, motion graphics, visual layouts, templates, and illustrations that are needed to support our learning products.
You'll work collaboratively with a team of subject matter experts, instructional designers, and other creatives to bring to life innovative and forward-thinking solutions for our learners.
In this role you will:
Develop sophisticated and innovative multimedia and digital resources including, but not limited to video, motion graphics, infographics, eLearning modules, and microsites
Work with Instructional Designers and Technical SMEs to conceptualize design vision
Ensure all visual content aligns with brand guidelines and follows accessibility standards
Collaborate and consult on multimedia best practices and provide feedback and direction to other members of the design team as needed
Plan your work, monitor progress, and document project issues. You communicate risks and needs with others and don't "wait" for someone else to manage your time and deliverables
Skills you have:
Keen ability to develop concepts, motion graphics, and layouts to support learning products in a range of formats (pdf, websites, infographics, e-learnings, etc.) and iterate based on feedback
Advanced knowledge in Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and/or other similar programs
Deep understanding and command of graphic design principles, visual hierarchy, and color theory
Intermediate knowledge of HTML and CSS
Possess a spectacular visual portfolio
Ability to clearly articulate rationale behind visual design decisions and communicate clearly with team members
A growth mindset with a desire to understand the latest visual design technologies and trends
Additional skills you might have:
Experience designing for Cloud or SaaS products
Understanding of the user-centered design process
Experience and understanding of UX principles
