As leaders in your CS organizations, what are the things you look for from your IC's as far as leading from the bottom?

@garyallum I love this question!
I run a team of about 25 now and here are some actions I LOVE when ICs make:
- Send suggestions of improvements around current processes. Don't come with a problem, come with a problem + proposed solution
- Ask what you can take off your managers plate. Look for big picture projects to work on to make your manager look good
- Own something, even if small try to own any little metric, application, or task
- Ask to help train new hires and be a resource for them
Hope this is helpful! Let me know if you have any follow up questions!
