    I think it does help to include a second for each segment of the customer journey. To include it will ensure that there is discussion around it. You don't want to have a segment of the customer journey that is undefined because of lack of oversight. 

    Also defining the various segments clearly can help align Marketing and Sales with what is expected from the customer.

    Absolutely- they are each very different and need different skill sets to be executed properly.
