Frank Reed Introduction

Hi everyone,

My name is Frank Reed.

I have been in sales and marketing roles for my entire career. I joined here at the urging of a colleague because I want to transition to customer success.

Why? I want to use my skills differently than pure sales requires. I have managed account bases (a primitive form of CS, perhaps?) from the sales side. I have sold SaaS solutions and watched how CS is executed in several models. I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly of sales and the handoff to CS. I have experienced more than enough to know that now is the time to make a move.

All that said, I am looking to have conversations with CS pros so I can learn from you and explore this shift I am committed to making in my career.

Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Also, if there are recommendations to help in this community, I am open to all.

    Welcome to GGR, Frank! If you haven't already, I'm sure you'll find lots of friendly CS folks open to discussion during your transition. I would suggest doing a quick search in the discussion forums, as I am sure the topic for CS resources has been posted in the past. Happy hunting!
