@Effie Mansdorf - We used to have value engineers / value consultants in my previous organization. CSMs could pull value engineers to cater strategic and large enterprise customer segment to drive adoption, work on value driven use-cases, and quantify the value of the platform / solution.
- Value engineers are good at product but that's not their core competency. They're above feature / functionality and are good at driving "why and so what" conversations.
-They are a coach and experts in use-cases.
- Value engineers are generally experts within a domain / industry.
