CS as a revenue driver is a pretty hot topic right now. How are you seeing this push? For many it can feel like a breach of confidence to have the CSM/Customer relationship muddied by a sales push. But what if you reframe it? When I go to the doctor and they recommend that I have some test done, I can see it as a money grab, but if I have a good relationship, I more likely see it as them trying to help me live my best life. As a partner/coach/trusted advisor, if your focus is on how to help your customers ‘live their best life’ through your product, your recommendations move away from the used car lot sales persona and into a space where you are helping them succeed, and that can be a relationship-strengthening space.
